Moreno Spirit visits the most famous glacier in Patagonia, the Perito Moreno. Located in the southwest of the province of Santa Cruz, in the Los Glaciares National Park, 80 km from the city of El Calafate (Argentina). Unique for its beauty and grandeur, this enormous mass of ice is born in the Southern Ice Field and runs 30 km long until it reaches and ends in front of the Magallanes Peninsula, on Lake Argentino, where the height of its walls exceeds 60 meters above the lake level. It leaves every day from Puerto Moreno (located at the foot of the coastal walkways) on the Canal de los Témpanos. Within seconds, the boat arrives in front of the north wall of the glacier, where you can appreciate its height and size from a totally different perspective than what you see from the walkways. You will visit the area where, every few years, the famous glacier break-up occurs, a phenomenon that has made the Perito Moreno glacier known worldwide. Then you will sail slowly in front of the entire width of the north wall. If you are lucky, you will be able to see a glacier break-off. It operates daily, with several departures, depending on the time of year. On-board guide (Spanish/English).
